Biography:
Beth Holtz joined the department in 2025 as a Clinical Educator. Attending university at Buffalo, SUNY, she received a dual B.A. degrees in Cognitive Science, Social Science Interdisciplinary and Speech and Hearing Sciences; followed by an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology. Beth has had experience working in a variety of settings (e.g., early intervention, school, outpatient and private clinics), allowing her to gain valuable skills that enable her to provide holistic care and intervention.
Beth is licensed by the board of North Carolina, and has her Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Beth has a passion for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She holds certifications for Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Pragmatic Organization Dynamic Display (PODD) and PODD Alternative Access Specialties. She has completed training and holds certification for Greenspan DIR/Floortime Approach, and The Hanen Center It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words. Beth is committed to implementing family-centered practices, and facilitating the development of autonomous communication for each child.
Outside of her role as a Clinical Educator, Beth can be found cheering on the Buffalo Bills as a Buffalo, NY native; exploring locally owned cafes; and finding new hiking trails or kayak waterways.
