Biography:
Dr. Stefan A. Frisch joined the department in Fall of 2018. Prior to coming to Appalachian, he served as a faculty member at the University of South Florida (2001-2018) and the University of Michigan (1998-2001). Dr. Frisch has two research themes: (1) the mental and articulatory processes in speech production; and (2) the processing and representation of language sound structure. In 2011, Dr. Frisch received a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research at Cardiff University, Wales. In 2020, Dr. Frisch received a Visiting Erskine Fellowship to teach at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.
