Biography:

Liz Bushey-Siler joined the department in 2023 as a Clinical Educator with a primary focus in Medical Speech-Language Pathology. After completing her master’s degree in 2016, she worked as a speech-language pathologist at Speech Center in Winston-Salem, NC where she worked in variety of settings and across the life span for her CFY. In 2017 Liz returned to the high country and began working in the skilled nursing facility setting in Wilkesboro, NC where she specialized in assessment and rehabilitation of adults and geriatric adults with swallowing disorders, aphasia, and cognitive-linguistic disorders. During this time, she also supervised graduate student clinicians and a CFY within the skilled nursing facility setting and found her passion for supervision.

Liz is a member of the North Carolina Speech Hearing & Language Association (NCSHLA) and North Carolina Association of Supervisors in Speech Language Pathology & Audiology (NCASSPA

Liz is originally from Fort Mitchell, Kentucky and now lives in Deep Gap, NC with her husband, dog and son. Her hobbies include pop culture podcasts, reading and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
