Biography:
Ms. Rose joined the department as an American Sign Language (ASL) Lecturer in Fall 2022. After completing her master’s degree, she worked at Gallaudet University as a Coordinator of Residence Education and a First-Year Seminar Teacher for seven years. She then spent five years at Florida School for the Deaf and Blind as a High School Social Studies teacher. After teaching in a variety of educational settings, she began her journey as an ASL Instructor with the University of North Florida in 2013 and then with St. Petersburg College and has over 10 years experience teaching ASL and Deaf Culture.
Ms. Rose has actively served as a board member for the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) since October 2020.
