Basic Admission Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university

  • Complete application to the App State Cratis D. Williams Graduate School  Application deadline is January 1, and review of applications will begin after that date. Applications submitted after the  deadline will not be reviewed in the current cycle. See more information here. 

  • To be considered for admission, applicants must meet or exceed the criteria for admission to the Graduate School. Application process is competitive, and meeting requirements does not guarantee admission. All aspects of the application are reviewed by the program relative to the entire applicant pool prior to recommending admission.

*Minimum Technology Requirements for the MSOT Program

Additional Admission Requirements:

  • Document observation hours with an occupational therapy practitioner, preferably across at least three diverse settings (educational, medical, community-based). No specific number of hours required, but document date(s) and time(s) observed using this form. Note; the form is also available on the App State graduate application.

  • Completion of 6 prerequisites with at least a B (3.0) GPA. It is preferred that each course grade is a B or above, but an overall prerequisite GPA of 3.0 will be considered with no course grades below a C

  • Provide two or more letters of reference: one letter from a current or previous academic instructor and one from a licensed healthcare provider

  • Write response based on application prompt

  • Pass criminal background check

  • Interview with program faculty

The MSOT Program has a target cohort size of 20-24 students
